I'm a graduate student in mathematics, planning on receiving a PhD, at the University of Vermont.
For more info on that, see my mathematics page. Being a mathematics student is a little demanding, but in my spare
time I do a few things to keep myself from going crazy ... or that's the idea at least. I'm a semi-pro photographer, shooting mostly natural landscapes and urban photography.
I'm also an expert level mountain bike trials rider. Since I moved to Vermont, I've also been doing much more hiking and backpacking, which gives me more chances to do
photography as well.
I'm a type-1 (insulin dependent) diabetic; I inject all of my insulin as my body produces none. I grew up in Flint, Michigan. I lived in and around Flint
for most of my life (besides living in Sweden) before I moved to Vermont. I studied in Sweden for one year. I've been to northern Europe 7 times. I speak Swedish and can understand
Norwegian well. (I took math classes at the university in Swedish anyway.) I like travelling, especially to the far north. I like winter too.
